Ingredients

3 Cups of All purpose Flour
1 Cup grated Coconut
1 Egg
1 Large chopped Red Onion
2-3 Green Chillies chopped (Depends on how much spiciness you desire)
6-8 Curry leaves chopped
1 tsp Salt  (To taste)
1 Cup of water
Oil

Step 1

In a large deep bowl combine grated coconut, chopped onion, green chillies & curry leaves.

Step 2

Add all purpose flour and salt to the coconut mixture and again mix it all together.

Step 3

Crack the egg into a separate bowl and whisk it. Then add it into flour mixture and mix it.

Step 3

Add the water to the mixture little at a time until form a dough. Do not let it get too wet & sticky. If the dough has become too sticky add more flour as it needed.

Step 4

Break off the dough 1/2 cup amount  pieces and roll in to balls.

Step 5

Take the dough balls on to a flat surface. Take one ball and flatten to a round flat shape.

Step 6

Heat a flat pan on medium heat. Add few drops of oil to the pan. Let the oil heat. Place the flatten dough on it. Cook the both sides for few minutes till it get nice golden brown.

Step 7

You can Serve the Pol Roties with Lunu Miris (Sri lankan spicy Salsa), Dal curry or Chicken curry.
