Ingredients 

1 White Coconut scraped

5-8 Shallots OR 1 small Red Onion

2-3 Garlic cloves

2 Limes

15-20 Dried Red Chillies

5 Curry Leaves

1 Green Chil

1/4 tsp Black Pepper powder

3 tbs Maldives Fish medium size pieces

1 tsp Salt (To taste)

A Mortar & Pestle OR a Blender

Step 1

Grind the Red chillies, Onions, Garlic, Curry Leaves, green chili in the blender till it gets nice paste.

Step 2

Add Maldives Fish, Juice of 1 Lime & 1 cup of scraped coconut to the paste and blend until it mix together.

Step 3 

Add rest of the scraped coconut in to the blender a little at a time till it mix well with all together.

Step 4

Take out the coconut mixture from the blender and put it in to a bowl.

Step 5

Squeeze the other lime in to the coconut mixture and mix it by using your hand.

If coconut is too dried or if it doesn’t seems rich, you can make it’s taste better By adding more lime juice.

Step 6

Taste saltiness and add salt to taste.

Serve this dish with Rice, Bread, Pittu, Roties or Naan!
