How to make Kokis (Curry Leaves flavored)

Kokis is a traditional Sri Lankan snack. It has a big importance in Sri Lankan traditional festivals. Specially in Sinhala tamil new year. This is very famous among the kids in Sri Lanka.
Kokis name has come from dutch word call “Kokeje”. It means “Cookies”. Scandinavians also make the same kind of cookies call “Rosette cookies”.They specially make it for Christmas eve as a traditional food. In India they call it “Rose Cookie” or “Achchu Murukku” Different countries, alternative ingredients, same method, same food But different names.
In this video I have made curry leaves flavored Kokis. As I believe Curry leaves are very healthy ingredient most South Asians used to add in their food. It gives good taste, It has strong tempting aroma and also It has lots of health benefits. Usually in sinhala tamil new year season, we get to eat so much sweets. So the Ingredients such as curry leaves, Cumin, olive oil could help you to make those sweets in healthier way.

තෙල්
කොකිස් අච්චුව
කුරක්
තාච්චියක්

Ingredients & Essentials

Rice Four  1/2 cup
Coconut Milk/Cream  1 cup
Egg  1
Turmeric  1/4 tsp
Cumin 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Curry Leaves  2-3 stalks
Oil to fry
Kokis Mold/Rosette Iron  
Chopstick
 Frying Pan
